Know Uganda Culture is a vibrant and innovative project developed by Edify EduTech of Hermitage Community Secondary & Vocational School. This initiative was created as part of the Edify EduTech Competition, aimed at promoting awareness and understanding of Uganda’s rich cultural heritage.

Our Vision
The mission of Know Uganda Culture is to serve as a digital platform that showcases the diverse cultures, traditions, and practices of Uganda. Through this project, we aim to bridge the gap between modern education and cultural preservation, ensuring that the younger generation stays connected to their roots while embracing the future.
We are committed to creating a dynamic space where Ugandans, especially the youth, can explore and appreciate the customs, languages, arts, crafts, and values that make Uganda a unique and culturally rich nation. Our platform highlights various cultural aspects from all corners of the country, from traditional dances and music to indigenous languages, art, and customs.

Our Story:
Know Uganda Culture was born out of a desire to contribute to the cultural preservation of Uganda. As part of the Edify EduTech Competition, we were inspired to utilize technology to raise awareness about Uganda’s cultural diversity. The project is the brainchild of students and educators at Hermitage Community Secondary & Vocational School, who wanted to combine their love for technology and culture in a meaningful way.
Through this platform, we aim to address the growing disconnect between the younger generation and Uganda’s traditions. Our team believes that by showcasing the beauty and significance of Uganda’s culture, we can inspire pride, unity, and a deeper understanding of the country’s diverse communities.
